Last pipe of the day is 3 coins of Escudo folded and stuffed into a MM Country Gentleman. Only 3 coins left in the tin to smoke before I can open something new. I think I'll open one of the old bulging tins from the back of the cabinet this time.

It is a classic, and if you dig aromatics, this is one of the great ones. Cool burning and delightful to the nose, some of the topping comes through in the flavor as well. A distinct butterscotch note.

Several years ago, in a thread on the pipe section of puff.com there was some kind of review challenge where multiple members tried LL-7 and 4noggins' Three Blind Moose, and both were found to be of comparable quality and pleasantness. I recall the 4noggins was found to be just a bit richer and more buttery, but only slightly so.

And on the way to work, my first bowl of the best durn... well, you know. I finally got to try some Strang! I have enough for 2-3 more bowls. It is nice stuff. I'm glad I got to try it.

That sounds like a VERY fine supper to me.

Puffing F&T Cut Virginia Plug – a very fine topped Virginia. Its status is nearly always "Currently out of stock" at SmokingPipes. There's a good reason for that.

About half way through this bowl of Jim’s C Blend in an early smooth Radice Tiger Eye G medium bend pipe with a bamboo-style carving on the shank and a black acrylic stem. A bottle of Cheerwine is my drink. Almost time for Mad Dog Russo.
