So I'll just sit back with a bowl of PS Black Coffee in a cob and try to come up with a better story.
I've never smoked a hookah – wonder if anyone on the forum has. I hate it when my pipe gurgles and a hookah is the worst-ever for that, I would think.

    P. S. – Sometimes I think they run this forum with a 486 and a 2400 baud modem.

I know there's at least a couple hookah smokers on here. Can't remember who tho.

I would never smoke one. The whole apparatus looks too much like some elaborate bong to me. ...either a bong or the ultimate Rube Goldberg smoking contraption. That and the hoses and mouthpieces and all that just gross me out. It's enough to keep the airway in a pipe clean, and I see what gunk I get out of it after just one smoke. Imagine what filth must be hiding in those hoses Not to mention, I generally lean toward non-aromatic or minimally flavored tobacco. Molasses soaked, fruity, berry, bananna-gummybear surprise shisha tobacco sounds kind of nasty to me.

Burning some G&H Brown Irish X in a Savinelli

Amazing the difference a pairing makes...
Tried pairing the Irish X with an Atwater Vanilla Java porter. Nasty. Neither the beer nor the tobacco were doing each other any favors whatsoever. Put the beer back in the fridge for later and poured some strong coffee with a little cream and sliced off a piece of earthy, creamy cheese made by a local farmer.
    What a difference.
This tobacco is earthy like a cigar, peppery but not overly so, and only slightly sweet. Lakeland essence in this one is so faint that I wonder if I'm just imagining it simply because this is a G&H blend and I know it's usually there. Both the coffee and the cheese compliment the baccy well and the cheese brings out a creaminess in the tobac that I didn't notice before. The earthiness in the cheese and also in the smoke go very well together. I'm going to put my feet up and enjoy the rest of the bowl... may need another slice of cheese or two

They've yet to convince me. Cheddar is WHITE dammit! Whatever that garbage Kraft sells sure isn't real cheddar.
