The little Sav is back in service again with a mixture of Sweet Rum and Black Cherry Twist
I honestly don't have a chimney "proper" so I'm not 100% sure. But I do have some fairly tall billiards, and I find they smoke flakes hot and harsh. Granted they are larger pipes. I just find smaller pipes smoke flakes/ropes like a champ.
What really opened my eyes was when I stuffed a flake in my big, ugly Brigham pot. Its short and open bowl smoked the flake better than most any pipe I have smoked flakes in. Perfect. I have a Capitello Pot that I have started reserving for flakes as well.
I'm curious how a flake would handle a small calabash as well...
