Had some Milan Sportsman in a cob while recording my review of it. That will be up tomorrow.
Now I am enjoying my last bowl of the evening, Samuel Gawith Cabbie's Mixture in a cob.

This is the first time I've tried a flake using the cube cut method. I think I like it.
I really like the flavors cube cutting tends to bring out.
My only problem is that I prefer to just gravity fill the cube cut, but I also like to keep my ash relatively clean. It is hard to dump the ash when your tobacco wants to fall out with it!
But some flakes are worth the hassle.

If you're smoking outside, just loosen the ash a bit with a pick and blow lightly across the bowl. That's what I do, it just whisks away the ash and leaves the heavier, un-burned tobacco behind.
I might have to go for some FVF flake or Newminster 400 later this afternoon. I have a pipe with a slight latakia ghost right now and it goes good with VA flake... either that or I'll have to beef up the lat ghost with another bowl of Gaslight... further details as events warrant.
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
