First time smoking H&H Anniversary Kake. Pretty good. It should age really well.

A bowl of Dark Birdseye in a small Jeantet Prince upon rising this morning (with strong tea). I really really like this stuff (curse you Jim!!) and will definitely need to keep it on hand for a hearty Virginia. Really fills a niche in the rotation.

Part way through this bowl of the original Edgeworth Ready Rubbed in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09). Simply Orange is my drink.

Last fall I smoked an eight ounce tub from the summer of 2012, and here's what I noticed: it loses just a little sweetness, and the Virginia becomes a little more refined and obvious than when fresh.

Nice and simple. There's some character thanks to a few short sandpit flaws but they'll go away once the pipe starts coloring. It smokes like a dream.

The last of my open stash of Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 1970s three quarter bend half smooth, half rusticated Savinelli Autograph 4 with a lucite stem and ferrule. As I just got some of the original, I jarred the ounce of the Match I had left, save for this bowl. This Match is certainly closer to the original than Lane Limited Ready Rubbed.
