Smoking some very vintage Velvet that I picked up on ebay. I cant' tell how old it is, but its packaging preceded the UPC. So at least early 70s, but the condition and design of the can suggest that it may be older. Anyway, the Velvet flavor is there but somewhat muted compared to contemporary stuff, and it has that lovely aged tobacco mellowness. Pipe is a cheap no-name briar, one that I picked up unfinished on ebay and later finished.
About half way through this bowl of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem.
Had a few bowls today.
Had some Hal o the Wynd in a cob.
Had some St. James Flake in a cob.
Then had some more Hal o the Wynd in an unfinished Savinelli.
