G&H No. 7 Broken Flake in a Gatlinburlier house billiard :pipe:
A bowl of G&H Bright CR flake in the little Jeantet Prince (a great little flake smoker). Man that stuff is good, smoked slow slow slow and savored. Basically breath smoked the whole bowl.
I swindled a single flake of this from a friend I converted to the pipe, who had a big order of different tobacco and cob shipped to my place so I could make sure the C&D blends were optimal moisture for smoking, and to doctor up the cobs-- I always chisel out the portion of wood shank that extends into the bowl, and pipe mud em'. I also drilled out one of the MM Washingtons and put a hardwood plug in the bottom.
Wish money grew on trees, because I love me some G&H!!
Smoked a bowl of Velvet from 1993 courtesy of Bruck...
And a bowl of his homemade flake...
A taste of autumn
Just finished smoking Standard Tobacco Company of Pennsylvania John Cotton’s No.s 1&2 Medium in a 2002 Ser Jacopo Delecta Fatta A Mano R1 sandblast Rhodesian with a smooth extension at the shank.
As I've said about a thousand times here (in 250+ posts?), there's no doubt in my mind that GH&Co. are THE premier tobacco manufacturer. Beneath any added essences these are just damn tasty blends, expertly balanced and very fulfilling. And if you enjoy the added Lakelands? Whoo-boy, watch out!
Enjoying a cobful of Newminster Natural, which arrived today by ICBM from our friend @Tobias Lutz . A nice, simple VA/Cavendish with a light, sweet flavoring.
Almost half way through this bowl of 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight WW2 pre-republic Peterson Sterling Canadian with a sterling silver band and a p-lip.
