About half way through this bowl of Jim’s B Blend in a 2015 Basil Meadows smooth straight thin shank and stem with an aluminum band Bing Crosby Merchant Service replica.
Richmond Navy Cut in a post WW2 Pre-Republic Peterson Dublin straight smooth X155 Bulldog with a sterling silver band.
Another fine tobacco not available here in the States, a la Ilsted's Own Golden Flake. It's a shame, really. I would give half of our Lat blends for just a handful of the seriously tasty VA flakes sold overseas.Quote:

In fact I was enjoying my Hackert last week enough that I bothered to take a picture (above) of it. Reviewing visuals each day help me remember new things and often kicks old memories back in place. A day or two later I was looking at the Hackert picture and wondered if I didn't have two of them; went looking around for quite a while and finally decided I only ever had one. SO, thank you! Nice to find out there was a second pipe and someone is still enjoying it. This is the lighter side of brain damage. It appears I have sent a lot of pipes to people, which is good. By way of balance, I keep finding pipes and have no idea when or where they came from. :D
So, glad you like it - they really are tremendous pipes. Only wish I knew who to thank. :shocked:
