Capstan Blue and Dark Star. Burned my tongue not a good smoke today lol. 1st time with both and in a Nording Keystone pipe with the clay in the bottom. Dark star is what got me but but was dry so not sure where the screw up was.

The amount of sugars in the Dark Star requires careful smoking. It is one of the sweeter Virginias. Rattray's Accountants Mixture this morning in a rusticated Savinelli pot.Quote:

Long time Little Archie penciler Dexter Taylor has passed away. He was a good cartoonist, and I had the pleasure of doing finishes on many of his stories, including his last one. Now, I hear long time Marvel artist Herb Trimpe has passed, too. To a generation of fans, including myself, Herb was THE Hulk artist. He also was the first artist to draw Wolverine. A couple years ago, I tried to work out a deal where Roy Thomas would write a story, Herb would pencil it, and I would ink it. Unfortunately, my only chance to work with Herb fell through. He was an endlessly interesting man. RIP Dexter and Herb.

Only have one more of Basil's pipes to smoke this evening before I will have smoked all four that I own. I'd try that with my Savinelli's but I own 18 of them, and even I don't smoke that many bowls a day.
Now smoking Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem. So now I've smoked all four of Basil's pipes that I own today. I highly recommend them as you no doubt have guessed. Working and listening to the great Vin Scully call the Dodgers-Mariners game on MLB TV. Mariners lead 3-0 in the first.

The problem with really good smokers is that it's tempting to use them every day. This lovely little guy needs a rest before I destroy it. A cob it ain't. If I break it, there probably won't be another to replace it with. The previous owner evidently loved the hell out of it too, as it took a lot of work to restore.
Sutliff Revelation match in the Grayson's. Oh, the poor pipe. The SPCP will come after me for this, I'm sure.
