Well, I've been like a kid waiting on Christmas the last few days. I ordered a pipe from Smokingpipes.com and have been anxiously awaiting it's arrival.
It's my first ever brand new briar and I am not disappointed. It's a Savinelli Standing 114 KS. Not an expensive one by any means but it is a good smoker.

I was trying to decide what to smoke in it first and figured my favorite Vaper would be a good one to start with. So I got a flake out of my tin of St. James Flake that came in the same order, rubbed it out and let it set for a couple of hours (if you've ever bought a Samuel Gawith flake, you know why) and here I am on the balcony with it.

Love it. It smokes like a dream.

C&D Pegasus in a 2015 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend tomato military mount with an aluminum accent, horn ferrule, and cumberland p-lip stem. Have enough left for one more bowl.
