How was it? The online description sounded good, and I'm always up for a decent VaPer

Speaking of VaPers, burning a bowl of PS, Bullseye Flake in an un-named French Canadian.
Happy New Years, fellas!
Anyone opening anything special?
Nope, not even planning on smoking for that matter.
That and ALL my tobaccos are special. I don't smoke non-special tobacco :p :pipe:
Non-special tobacco is bad for you!
Happy new year to you too

Medium sized bowl of Briar Fox in a Capitello.
I got a new pipe for xmas but I'm afraid to try it....pretty sure it's a Chinese cheapo....I've heard horror stories of them. Looks great though lol.

I suggest reaming it down to wood before first smoke if it's got any of that black coating inside the bowl.
Check out this bad boy, Branzig.
SS01DS75 - BriarWorks Signature Mag-Top Calabash - Dark Smooth - Briarworks
It's a gourd calabash in form and function but made from briar.
WANT!!!
(Wouldn't dare defile that one with Ennerdale tho...)
Last night smoked a very small portion of G&H Brown Flake Vanilla (I think)
... in a little Savinelli prince.
Puffing Patriot Flake (Dan Tobaco) in my dear old Kirsten Mariner. And I have ten more 50g tins of PF coming today.
US and tropical Virginias that have been press fermented. No topping, but the fermentation gives it a distinctive flavor. Very mild.
Had a bowl of Peterson Elizabethan Mixture in a Savinelli Champagne bulldog.
Then a bowl of Sam Gawith Brown No. 4 in an old banded Dr. Grabow.
Kendal Cream Flake with dark roast coffee this morning. Smoking in an old Custombilt.

Puffing 7 yo Wessex Dark Flake from a just-opened tin in my old Kirsten. This stuff is a clone of FVF, both in taste and appearance — long, dark, irregular flakes.
Been a bit.
This is gonna happen as soon as I get my youngest to bed.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a08c9023ea.jpg

Burning a bowl of Happy Bogie in a gourd calabash
Gin and soda as a refresher
Had a bit of dried Happy Bogie left over from last night. Burning that now in a little Savinelli prince.
A Spanish red wine this time. Goes surprisingly well.
Well how about this one then? Even has 'mammoth'. If that don't make it smoke fine I don't know what will! :p
I figure I'll call them and see if I can whittle them down to an even 7k out the door...

Puffing a 50-50 mixture of F&T Blackjack and Solani 656 Aged Burley Flake. The Blackjack (a Virginia) is zippier than I like but the ABF mellows it out. This mixture has good flavor.
Had a bowl of Peterson Elizabethan Mixture this morning and a bowl of McClelland 40th Anniversary this afternoon.
I'm about 2/3 of the way through a bowl of Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky in a London made Ben wade apple.
Happy smokes guys.

Finished my cigar and didn't have time for another brought out my pipe for a go. Molto dolce is what I have open. Been a long time and still not great at smoking a pipe
bit of a mild night (couple degrees below freezing) Decided a small bowl of amphora brown in the MM ozark mountain
Been on a burley kick the last week or so.
Had a bowl of Solani Aged Burley Flake in a Nording Canadian earlier today.
Now enjoying a bowl of Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky in a short stubby Rogers Rarity.
I just opened a 5 yo tin of F&T Vintage, a Virginia. Puffing that now in my old Kirsten.
This is the prettiest flake tobacco that I know of. Variegated, with a broad range of hues. Tasty, too. Mild with a light topping of some sort.

Smoking a bowl of Five Brothers in a Savinelli Silver straight sandblast billiard. Been holed up for 2+ weeks now and it's not all bad.
Having some MacBaren Plumcake in my Peterson Rocky Donegal.
Old King Cole was a merry old soul,
And a merry old soul was he;
He called for his pipe, and he called for his bowl,
And he called for his fiddlers three.
Every fiddler he had a fiddle,
And a very fine fiddle had he;
Oh there's none so rare, as can compare,
With King Cole and his fiddlers three.
I don’t have any fiddlers (except Internet music), but I have some very fine pipes. Here’s my Caminetto Pot with silver spigot mount, just loaded with Patriot Flake (Dan Tobacco, Germany).

Having some G&H Dark Birdseye in a MM Cobbit. Pretty strong stuff, but tasty.
Weather is getting better here. Finished off a jar of Narrow Bridge in my Dr. Plumb. Cleaning up a few pipes including the Falcon I found at an antique shop with early markings. Going to give the bag of C&D Carolina Red Flake a go in that in a bit

Also Doug that pipe is gorgeous, never heard of it. Off to the googles to research.
Had a bowl of Orlik DSK in a Savinelli 114KS earlier.
Now enjoying a bowl of McClelland Anniversary from 2005 in a London made Ben Wade apple shape.
Orlik Golden Sliced in a Savinelli Series III bent apple.
This was the first pipe tobacco that I actually enjoyed. It's what got me hooked on the hobby.
While there are tobaccos that I like more now, I still go back to it sometimes, and still enjoy it a lot.

Burned a couple small bowls of PS bullseye in my little Savinelli Prince
Haven't been smoking lately much at all.
Cracked this tin of MacBaren that was given to me, while working on my son's electric dirt bike. Never had this and it's really good, it's a ever so slightly aro and not one that just overpowers you with Cavendish. Just a subtle vanilla flavor in a good Virginia that looks really light out of the tin.

A Savinelli prince containing a bullseye flake... minus the worthless, Cavendish bullseye. I refuse to smoke pointless tobacco. I hate black Cavendish; just seems to water down everything good and tasty. Jury is still out on golden, Virginia Cavendish, mostly because it's hard to find a blend that has it.
