Bill Bailey's Balkan Blend by Dan Tobacco
Smoking a bowl in a 'made in France' Canadian
Glass of red wine is going nicely with this lat blend.
Puffing F&T Cut Virginia Plug in my old Kirsten Mariner with large bulldog bowl. Wonderful flake tobacco.
Will head out soon to Kaiserhof, where I’ll probably have Hungarian Goulash, or Sauerbraten. And a tall Stiegl. I love Sundays!
Puffing an unusual mixture: 50/50 Aged Burley Flake and Gordon Pym (an English mixture). I feared it would be like putting black beans on a cucumber sandwich. But it’s quite good, and certainly off the beaten path.
Now you make me want to try black beans on a cucumber sandwich. I like black beans anyway.
Maybe black beans on a gyro. Those have cucumber sauce. Does cumber sauce count?
Don't like burley in my English blends tho...
Got another pile of Bill Bailey's Balkan Blend drying out for a trip thru a cob this time around.
Wife joined me on the deck tonight so I decided to go with one she always enjoys the smell of. 1-Q in an un named pearwood,

Haven't had time for a bowl lately. Chawed a coin of Sweet Rum Twist this afternoon, if that counts...

Bowl of SG Navy Flake in the Rattrays Cherrywood tonight. This blend is always excellent - can hardly go wrong.
Puffing The Mallard (Dan Tobacco) in my old Kirsten. This mild Virginia is soooo good. My cellar is pretty well stocked with it.
Puffing Wessex Classic Virginia in my Tinsky Brandy. Earlier, I smoked a fill of 3 yo Dunhill Navy Rolls, but the Wessex is a better VaPer IMO. I like its form (mostly rubbed out) better than the NR “coins” too.

Stokkebye, Bullseyeless flake and a glass of chardonnay last night. Pressed for time, had to abandon it a little earlier than I'd have liked.
Puffing a very tasty blend — a 50/50 mixture of Solani 660, Silver Flake and The Mallard (Dan Tobacco). 660 is a flavorful, slightly spicy, Virginia. TM is a flavorful mild Virginia. The combination is excellent in my Kirsten Mariner!
I just saw a very unusual Dunhill pipe on SmokingPipes:
https://www.smokingpipes.com/pipes/n...duct_id=328745
It’s said to be Rhodesian. Hm.. Dunhill also says that my 3117 squat bulldog is a Rhodesian — Whatever.
Lane BCA in the Stanwell, breaking in nicely and smoking a lot better.

Having some MacBaren Virginia No. 1 in my Savinelli Series III bent apple.
Haunted bookshop in the handmade pick axe. Keep coming back to try it but for some reason I always find this stuff has a harshness to it I just can’t seem to get past. Hoping with age it will get better...
Do people still smoke from pipes here or what

I think I’ve had it a couple years (maybe 3). I keep coming back to it and getting the same results. Thinking maybe I’ll try mixing it with something else, maybe make something of it that I’ll enjoy.
Had a small bowl of Bullseye Flake last evening with a half glass of chardonnay. Pressed for time, early morning ahead, only had about half an hour before bed. Woke up an hour later to an excited ruckus ouside. Coon in the chicken coop, looking for a chicken dinner... promptly shot it with a 12 gage (in my underwear) and went back to bed. Thus endeth the ruckus but now wide awake... tired this morning...
Cracked the Orlik tin today from @bluenoser in the Xmas trade I believe. First go at this one in the Dr. Plumbhttps://i.imgur.com/gsOOwuD.jpg

Getting occasional hints of root beer of all things. So good. :pipe:

Been trying to get over a spring cold...took about 10 puffs of Dark Birdseye...set it down and walled away.
Maybe I'll try again in a week or so.

Mr. Branzig, Tear Down That Wall!
...and you're supposed to smoke a yellow virginia to combat a cold. Try a bowl of FVF next time.
Burned a bowl and a half of Bullseye flake on the river yesterday. Would have been 2 bowls but my Zippo ran out midway thru the second bowl :( Apparently I'd misplaced my can of Zippo fluid because it was nowhere to be found so I had filled it the first time by dunking the end of the insert in the boat gas tank (it's a 2 cycle btw... makes relights taste pretty funny). Should have filled it better the first time because by the time it ran out again I could no longer reach the fuel in the tank without fear of dropping the whole works into the gas tank :p. Ahh, adventures in pipe smoking :pipe:
Puffing Solani 660, Silver Flake, in my Tinsky billiard. Darned good pipe tobacco.
Burned a small bowl of G&H dark plug last evening. (A small bowl of DP is all I can handle)
Very nice tobacco when cut into match stick sized pieces and smoked slowly.
This stuff is STRONG. I think it's stronger than the ropes and twists. Surprised you don't need a prescription to buy this.
Had plenty munchies and a glass of red wine on the side. This stuff is great but not for an empty stomach.
I don't think I've ever smoked a more full-flavored blend. Might go for another bowl tonight if I have the time. Even a small bowl lasts well over an hour.
Dunhill Royal Yacht in my Stanwell
Got this in a win from a other forum. Been smoking a lot of aros and even though it says in descriptions is slightly plum flavored it's def not an aro. Anyone else had this before?

I have. I have a few tins of it around somewhere. It's been a long time since I smoked it though.
I don't care much for aros but a good tobacco blend with a subtle case I really enjoy. The English do a lot of them like that. Maybe I should hunt up some RY. Been a while since I burned a Dunhill blend.
