Puffing Solani 656, Aged Burley Flake, in my Luciano stout bulldog. I’m appreciating this tobacco more and more. It used to be an occasional smoke for me, but it’s becoming a staple. I know of no other tobacco remotely like it.

Yesterday, I opened a 2 yo tin of F&T Cut Virginia Plug, a mild, lightly-topped flake. Puffing some now — this stuff is heavenly. Wonderful tin note too. Thankful that I have lots of tins of it in my inventory.
Again puffing on Sam Gawith Navy Flake in a Cherrywood sitter while painting a boat.
MOAR Sam Gawith Navy Flake in the Cherrywood sitter while painting the boat.
Puffing Solani ABF in my Caminetto silver spigot mount stout pot. It’s going down really nice. Really love this meaty tobacco. Sipping a Nespresso “Roma” espresso.
Even MOAR Sam Gawith Navy Flake. This time in a Barling Canadian, which is also a sitter. My Cherrywood needed a rest.
MOAR Sam Gawith Navy Flake in the Barling Canadian...
While reassembling the boat...
Humid out. Weed wouldn't dry. Only smoked the better part of a small musketball stuffed in the top of the pipe
Been running my Pete through her paces lately.
Star of the East tonight...yeah with sparkling bitch beer. I'm out of my brews so sipping the missues. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...03459728eb.jpg

Time for my favorite pipe.
My 1940s Custom-Bilt. I hunted long and hard for this boxy billiard. I've had it for about 4 years now and she smokes divine.
Briar Fox is the baccy.

A little bit of Strang that was gifted to me at least a year ago.
Still bites me a little.
The end is near.
The end of my tin of F&T Cut Virginia Plug, that is, and sad about that. Puffing CVP now in my Luciano stout bulldog.
What to open next? I’m thinking Dunhill Navy Rolls. It’s been awhile, and it’ll be a big change from CVP.
Earlier this morning had a bowl of some homegrown Semois in a Sloth pipe that I won as a door prize at the Columbus pipe show.

I did open tin of Dunhill Navy Rolls this morning. Absolutely regal. Even Queen Elizabeth can’t get better pipe tobacco.
Was in an English mood today.
Had a bowl of McClelland Rose of Latakia from 2007 in my meer. Great tobacco. It's a Syrian Lat blend, so even if McClelland was still around, that one would be gone.
Also a bowl of Sutliff No. 5 in the same pipe.
Still in an English mood.
Having a bowl of Nightcap in an old banded Dr. Grabow Berwyck.
Having a bowl of Samuel Gawith Cabbie's Mixture in my meer.
A tightly wadded musketball of Five Brothers in a rusticated Savinelli billard.
Very nutty, pretty woody, white peppery and a little cardboardy. Burns well.
My first two fills today seemed a bit harsh, so I reached for my jar of Solani 763, White and Black. 763 is my go-to mild tobacco. It proved to be a good choice — going down nicely in my Caminetto silver spigot pot.
Used a bowl of pipa vanilla in my freehand pickaxe to get me through the monday conference call.
Enjoying a relaxing bowl of SG Navy Flake along with a glass of chardonnay. Nice to be not working on anything for the evening, although I hear half a dozen projects calling my name... might need another fill of chardonnay to drown them out
I recently bought six Solani tobaccos that I hadn’t tried before — one tin of each. They’re all aromatics, and I’m not an aro guy, so that explains why I hadn’t tried them. I just opened the first of them, Solani 113, Sweet Mystery:
“A wonderful Virginia blend consisting of red sweet and broad bright Virginias, Virginia Flake, and sweet black Cavendish with a pinch of black currant treated with Bacardi and CocoCream. Mystic sweet taste with a fantastic room aroma--outstanding. Wild Cut/Cross Cut/Broken Flake.”
By golly, it’s pretty good — kind of like smoking a piña colada. Certainly a good choice for social situations.
Dunhill pipe for only $4,695! As a VIP Silver member, I can buy it for just $3,990.75. :)
“Gold-plated accent band?” For that price it ought to be solid 18-caret gold.

Puffing Dunhill Navy Rolls in my somewhat less expensive Luciano stout bulldog.
Drying out a fill of 1792 flake for a trip thru my Savinelli sandblast
I figure that pipe comes with a year subscription to a 24 hr pipewench: a pretty little 20 something to fill and clean your pipe and rub your shoulders while you smoke.
"Pipewench! Full Virginia Flake, please"
Random but last night I burned 3/4 bowl of 1792 but dumped the last of it and switched to a few coins of G&H Sweet Rum Twist amid complaints that the 1792 reeked of burning plastic. Having no pipewench, I loaded it myself and have yet to clean the pipe...
Another fill of Solani 113, Sweet Mystery, in my Kirsten Mariner. This stuff is actually pretty tasty. And fairly zippy for an aromatic.
A little late but checking in for yesterday's smoke - a nice briarful of Penzance while kayaking on the Occoquan river (tributary to the Potomac). Lovely smoke but I'd have to say smoking a pipe while kayaking is a bit tedious - I'll stick with cigars next time. Chew would be the most convenient of course, being surrounded by a massive spittoon :)
Gawith Hoggarth Brown Twist Sliced.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Thinking about lighting up a quick bowl of SG Navy Flake. Probably smoke it in my little Cap pipe that smokes flake so well.
