HaHa,,,I do feel for ya George, I can't get going without coffee.
Started my weekend with CB original in my reconditioned Dr Grabow.
And, (sorry George) coffee.

Nice Kaywoodies!
Had a nice bowl of Viprati in the 320KS Trevi, then finished the evening with some 5100 Red Cake in the Apple meer. Tucked between those was a nice treat (which was on my back steps this morning), some LTF in the new 2017 PSF POY Savinelli Tre Canadian with gold band and tortoise acrylic stem found on their Totuga series. Great smoke, but this being my 3rd Savinelli I come to expect that.

Well, Photof**ket is acting up again. This weekend I have been smoking many bowls of G&H Dark Flake in various pipes. I enjoy this stuff.
Sipping my weekly fill of ten yo FVF.
Has anyone seen an objective explanation for the white substance that forms on long-age FVF? Some of the flakes in my jar have it, some don't, but I don't detect any flavor difference.
Filled my MM General with Newminster #6 Vanilla Delight, one of the aros I picked up in Tobias' bulk sell off a few months back.

Not a regular aro smoker, but this one's not bad and the price was right!
McClelland 5100 Red Cake in my "made in Italy" Rhodesian, and a little Basil Hayden's Bourbon
I forgot how good this blend is
Just finished a bowl of G&H Dark Flake in this Dunhill.

Some Frog Morton Cellar in an old McGregor pipe with William Powell and Myrna Loy etched into the bowl.......

Old dark fired in a old French brandy pot. Probably should have gone with something a bit milder after a few days of no tobacco. Had to DGT this one several times to avoid the queasies..
Frog Morton's Cellar in a Willard small straight billiard
Friday I pulled out my single pipe travel pouch and discovered that I had about an ounce or two of
CB original stashed in it.Well my reconditioned DG has seen about four bouwls and the pouch is
in need of refilling. So's my pipe, I hear a Orlik Golden Flake calling and a Brigham brandy pot that
smokes it well.
Smoked a bowl of GH Dark Flake last night in this Hendon briar. This morning I am having a bowl of the same in a Dr. Grabow straight billiard.

Tried a chaw of 1792 flake. Felt like a chaw and 1792 was handy.
FTR, this blend does NOT make good chaw; tastes exactly like chewing wet cardboard. There's also a black pepper burn but no pepper taste. The tonquin - which I thought would add to the flavor - was undetectable. I'll have to stick to the G&H ropes and twists...
Puffing Solani ABF in my c. 1950 Kirsten Mariner with large bulldog bowl. I skipped this tobacco in the last trip through my rotation -- very glad to see it turn up again. I'm not a fan of burley in general, but ABF is wonderfully good.
Smoking a bowl of McClelland Stoved Virginia (#5105) in a 1930s Kaywoodie Drinkless.
It is a decent smoke all by itself. Looking forward to blending with it.
Small bowl of G&H sliced black twist in a Sav prince.
This is 'economy' tobacco IMO; it's so strong, flavorful and slow burning that a thimble full is equal to a full size bowl of a lesser tobacco. Tobacco concentrate is what it is.
An untopped day for me: Escudo, ABF, and Wessex Classic Virginia. Two VaPers and one burley, non of which have any topping -- just natural tobacco goodness. Tomorrow the Escudo will be gone, but I'll open a tin of DF, so the beat goes on...
So far today I've had a bowl of CB Royal in my DG Savoy and another in my Casillero.
Then a bowl of SPS Maple Street in my Ol-Vic and a mystery blend also in the Ol-Vic.
Think I'll move on to a bowl of Royal Yatch in my Dunhill canted dublin.
Smoked a bowl of McClelland 2010 Virginia Flake in a Dr Grabow Starfire billiard.
Nice now. Can't wait to see how it is in a few years.
And for the record, tonight's smoke is Sweet Vanilla Honeydew, part of my score from Tobias' bulk sell-off. Not bad for an aro.
I got in late tonight and am winding down after a 16 hour day with some SG Commonwealth with a topping of GH Dark Flake in a Dr. Grabow.
My tin of Escudo went empty yesterday, and my tin of Solani ABF was down to 25.1g (half full) this morning, so I opened a tin of Dunhill Flake with 2+ years of age on it. Plain vanilla tobacco, but so good.
Started a bowl of SG Commonwealth at lunch and just finished it after work. Smoked it in a sweet Dr. Grabow straight billiard. I enjoy smoking these American legends as much as my other pipes.
Oi,,,Monday I pulled a muscle in my back hooking up a trailor, then spent the rest of that day and Tuesday
hauling sections of I-beams under a house and jacks to level it. Today while removing a jack (a 22 ton rated bottle jack)
I dropped it on my knee. So when my back spasms it draws my left leg up to my chest and my right knee screems in the
key of C major. I'm in serious need of comfort "food"! Found my stash of H&H Frenchy's Sumbitches and a Wiley short
pipe that Warren @Pugsley gifted me with and gonna go drown in a tub of epsom salt with maybe a quart of water.
I'm really Praying for rain tomorrow.
Been smoking H&H Sweet Cask tonight in various pipes, the current one is a Dunhill Shell billiard. I like this blend.
About to light up a bowl of burley flake scraps with some CCC Ready Rubbed mixed in. Trying to blend the Ready Rubbed to see if its worth keeping. I didn't like smoking it by itself - too much bite. Smoking it in this Dunhill bent billiard:

Took the day off today and am doing something I rarely get to do - have a morning pipe :)

@Haebar VaPer is in the cob and it is excellent! And I'm not just saying that to be affirming to one of our members, it really is one of the best tasting blends in my cabinet.
The game of hearts you see on my screen - I ended up losing by one point. Doh!
FTR, HH Old Dark Fired is nasty too; turns into some slimy, gross thing in your mouth and doesn't taste good either. I gaged 3 times on my way to the garbage can to spit it out. It was like having a dead leach in my mouth.
Had a small bowl of McClelland, 5100 in a barling on a delivery run this afternoon
