What Did You Smoke Today? (Pipe Edition)

Smoking some Cornell & Diehl Epiphany in a cob.

Whenever I make a P&C order, I like to get an ounce of something or other I've never tried, just to expand my horizons. So I picked this one up based on the advertising copy which said that Einstein is purported to have smoked this blend. Notwithstanding the utter unlikelihood of this assertion, I will say that I don't feel any smarter or dumber for the experience.

Not a bad blend, but it's a somewhat new cob and I'm still getting a bit of the soggy corn flavor.

MacBaren Modern Virginia in a post WW2 Pre-Republic Peterson Dublin straight smooth X155 Bulldog with a sterling silver band. Have enough left for two bowls.

C&D Habana Daydream in a Canterbury lovat

Listing this some minutes early: Union Leader Match in an early smooth Radice Tiger Eye G medium bend pipe with a bamboo-style carving on the shank. Have enough left for a bowl or so.

It's false advertising. Epiphany was created as a match to what Einstein smoked, which was Revelation. Sutliff's Revelation Match is closer to the original than Epiphany is, although I do like that blend. In fact, I'm a few minutes away from smoking Epiphany in a 1975 full bend black Dunhill Shell 52021 with a black vulcanite stem. Have enough left for one more bowl.

A minute or two away from smoking Holiday Excursion in a black pebble finish straight 2003 Cavicchi C. Fatto A Mano lovat.

Flying Dutchman Match in a slight bend black sandblasted Lorenzo Elba Imperia 8636 with an amber colored acrylic stem.

D&R Athey in a 2003 IMP horn Meer. This will finish the sample.

Starting off my smoking day with 2012 Orlik Golden Sliced in a 1984 black sandblasted straight Dunhill Shell 4103 Billiard.
