Dunhill Nightcap in a MM Diplomat while watching my Red Sox slap the Phillies around in a spring training game.
Y'all remember that self-challenge I posted a few weeks ago? Yesterday (3/21/15) I decided to give it a try, as I was outdoors most of the day barbecuing anyway.
One problem I encountered was that Mr. Inks apparently doesn't sleep, so I just had to pick a 24-hour period. I chose midnight to midnight.
I watched/counted up @JimInks 's entries on 3/21 and attempted to smoke a bowl (standard size MMs mostly) of my own tobacco for every one of his.
Couldn't do it :(
Made it to seven before my inflamed mouth completely rejected the notion of getting any more tobacco near it.
I counted 10 bowls/entries for Jim. Jim, I don't know how you do it!!!

SG Chocolate Flake in a Ted Laird.
Earlier I smoked some GLP Meridian with a good pinch of Odyssey in it...veery good! Now I'm working on a bowl of Sixpence. Good stuff but won't buy it again.
Just finished smoking Jim's Evolving Work Blend in a 2003 Stanwell Golden Danish 56 Rusticated Canadian. Next is Arcadian Perique in a 2003 smooth medium bend straight grain Ardor Venere Extra signed by Dorelio Rovera Dublin.
Relaxing after a nice weekend with some PA in a Sasieni Mayfair smooth, straight apple. Spent the afternoon scrambling around the rocks at Great Falls yesterday, and spent the afternoon scrambling around the golf course today. Finished nine in just under 2 hours with all three of us walking. Jim would be proud.
Mr. Pease makes it. I bought it because of the components, which I all love (they're red va, perique, and dark fired) but I won't buy it again because it has a flavoring that when combined with the leaf, gives it a certain pungentness that is akin to valerian root..not bad, just different. I'd have preferred a little more creaminess or sweetness rather than the more savory approach.
Just a change of pace for my tastes.

Man, we are still bitter cold here. 35 degrees but that sharp, biting, cutting wet air kinda cold. OK, I'll stop complaining because my tulips are beginning to show through the snow. I said, through the SNOW! I envy you guys in the south. Tobacco's delightful.
Old Joe Krantz in a 1970s small bowl smooth medium bend Danish Sovereign 324 volcano with a black vulcanite stem. Running low on this tobacco now.

Began the day with Dunhill Nightcap, and now that the sun has set I'm smoking Dunhill Early Morning Pipe in a MM Legend. Older than dirt, but I'm still a rebel.
Almost finished smoking GQ Askwith Kake in a 1982 black grain relief sandblasted three quarter bend W.O. Larsen Dublinish pipe.
Kajun Kake in an XX Old Church. The warmer weather recently only makes it more delicious IMO.
Very funny!
2014 Esoterica Scarborough in a 1985 Ser Jacopo L2 Maxima taper billiard.
So glad that I returned this bad boy to the rotation, he's a VA beast. So far (~ 4oz) of Scarborough has been underwhelming and if it can't perform in this pipe then it won't in any pipe.
Got the sleeping bags and blankets and I'm headed back to the porch, brrrr.
