Well today was cleaning day.Unfortunately not pipe cleaning.Instead I've been
reclaiming my living room and dining room.For the past two plus years,my wife and I
have secluded ourselves to the master bedroom with limited use of the remainder of
the house.This was to allow our son and his S/O to have something of privacy and
a sense of living apart from us.By moving them to an apartment we now want to use
the rooms ourselves.With all the toting and cleaning,I have only managed to finish
the bowl of LL Dark Red I started last night and then lit up a Felipe Dominacan cigar.
That got me kick into the LV room to smoke it,so I popped a Guiness Draught and
read thru a couple chapters of "In Search of Pipe Dreams". Good book,good drink,
and a good smoke in a quiet room.Yeah,life is improving.

He did two blends for me and one of four for the group that I wanted a pound each of. (I think it was C blend.) We were going to perfect the customs and roll them out when tragedy struck. I think he was going to have a tasting in the group and the winner would receive a Barling from his collection. I recall being worried Chico's blend was a shade more approachable than mine. He called me and I convinced him he didn't owe us anything and he should take time to celebrate his wife's recovery and to take care of his granddaughter. And mourn his son. He said he would be back and that's good enough for me, I loved that guy...
@NeverBend , wherever you are...

Finally getting around to the first pipe of the day, SPC Mississippi River in a MM Country Gentleman. Been having trouble with the internet connection, so Comcast sent someone out to check it out. Turns out we had multiple problems. Squirrels had chewed the insulation off the cable where it comes of the pole. There was a metal connection piece that performed some function that I still don't understand, it was bad. And last, but not least, the modem was "missing some code" and we needed a new one. After the repairs were done I fired up the laptop and ran a speed test. Where I had been getting download speeds ranging from 12 mbps to less than 1 mbps, I'm now getting a steady 108 mbps. I'm a happy camper and best of all it didn't cost me one cent.
The Country Gentleman is my favorite of the line. Comcast is usually pretty good about fixing my problems with my internet connection here in East Tennessee too. I had to call them early this morning to get my email flowing again; it had stopped working at 1:00 in the morning. I had to wait on hold for 30 minutes, but they fixed it on their end very quickly.
