PIPEALISIOUS DAY
Nothing!
Stupid hurricane.
(Okay. Done complaining.)
First pipe of the day is a repeat of the last pipe yesterday, Balkan Sasieni in the same cob. First time I've tried this blend. It has some rough edges and it's a little lighter on the Latakia than I expected, but I'm enjoying it.
Just finished a bowl of G&H Black Irish X while sitting outside under my new deck grotto, watching the rain fall, and realizing that it's now after 1:00 p.m. and I'm still in my pajamas, solidifying my "bum" credentials :)
The Black Irish X is a mellower version of their "brown" #4 rope, as it's been stoved, or so they say. I prefer it to the brown #4 as it doesn't give me that feeling of having my mouth coated with plastic, as do other ropes I've tried, including my own concoctions. Burned okay but got a little soggy toward the end - I'll have to let it dry more next time. I would characterize the nicotine content as "bracing."
Just finished smoking Jim’s A Blend in a 1980 three quarter bend long stem Ascorti New Dear KS egg with a black acrylic stem.

A sad day for me. I had PK, my tuxedo kitty cat put down. She had a good life though – 20 years old last June. No arthritis, and healthy and happy until a month ago, when her appetite began to fail. I shed many tears this morning, and will miss her greatly.
Just jumping in here for a shameless plug. Check out my listings, Lots #2 & #3 in the Annual Cigar Bum Fundraising Auction. Bidding will begin Saturday, October 15th so save your pennies.

Sorry for your loss of a close family member. We had to put down dads dog a couple of weeks ago as her hips gave out, and she wasn't eating anymore. It was a hard decision as you hope they'll get well, but you know better and have to do the right thing as suffering isn't living.......
