One good thing about pulling some over night shifts? It makes Scotch acceptable for breakfast!

Durbar in a 1940s Custombilt Lovat.
I've finally beaten Durbar!!! 10 minutes drying time helps. But the true secrete? Packing lighter. This blend wants a loose, air pocket pack. Finally getting this blend. Excellent Virginia sweetness and tangy/spicy Orientals. The latakia is playing second fiddle. It is excellent.
And that, boys and girls, is why you never give up on a blend until you've tried it in multiple pipes with varying drying times as well as different packing techniques.
Picture included for Mr. @Alligator Gar of course.
Fantastic looking pipe! Now if we could just get Bent, Inks, McDill and some of the other frequent flyers posting pics... just think of the knowledge base this thread would become. I'm living proof that Luddites can be cured.Quote:
