This evening I had a bowl of Stonehaven (2011) in my large 45 degree large freehand no name bent.:pipe: I went digging thru my stash and decided that I will start off with Stonehaven and I also went digging thru my older seldom used pipes and came up with this 45 degree bent. I generally have been using my extra large pipes but today I was impelled to go with regular large size. My smoke this evening is delicious and delinitely hit my spot.:thumb: I think that I will dig out some more of my older pipes for a few days before going back to my regular extra large favorites. I am topping off this smoke with an ice cold mug of Becks brew and I am feeling relaxed.:beerchug:

Breaking in a cheapish Wessex Billiard with a home-blend of C&D Ribbon Burley, Latakia and Perique. I named it "happy bachelor", because it wreaks. And wreak it does! Although I think some Izmir or something would add a little sweetness and depth and contribute towards the goal of an extremely wife-unfriendly blend.
Alternating between the last two flakes of Solani 633 (VaPer) and F&T CVP (straight Virginia). Both are delicious.

It's not called chocolate flake because of the color.
Home from the Raleigh Pipe Show sponsored by TAPS. Picked up lots of samples to review and bought twenty tins of D&R's VIP, which is a very under rated VaPer. Also bought three tins of Peterson's 3Ps. A friend gave me a 100 gram tin of Edgeworth Slices. Smoked Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem. Then, a 1995 sample of Ringlow Syrian Reserve in a 1990s smooth Peterson Captain Pete XL80 bulldog.
