Autumn Evening today in a Sav bent Dip. I actually love maple aros, and this one is pretty good. That said, I do get the ashy note that others detect. Any maple baccy recommendations?

Part way through this bowl of Stonehaven in a 1998 smooth medium bend Peterson Limerick 69 with a nickel band. This pipe handles Stonehaven very well, and the bowl is small enough for me to stretch out what I have left of the blend.

First bowl in over a week-- GH Kendal Kentucky in a Country Gentleman. I have lost my nicotine tolerance, and this stuff really lit me up-- avoiding the nausea but felt ample nicotine coursing through me to be sure =D

2015 Erinmore Flake in a 1961 Barling's Make #5719 saddle billiard. Kirkland coffee, light on a beautiful day (60 degrees).
Just opened this tin with 5 months age. First pipe bowl in weeks and other than the dottle being reluctant, tastes pretty good.
In years past I referred to Erinmore Flake as a 'full aromatic' because of the top sauce but it's not oppressive (and I haven't smoked it in over 30 years). The burley is a good player in the flavor profile but it makes the smoke a little dry and scratchy (throat) but it does retard the acid without negating the VA sweetness.
Just finishing this bowl of MacBaren Virginia #1 in a late '90s half smooth/half etched freehand sitter, medium bend Nielsen Viggo.
McClelland Easy Street in a 2002 IMP smooth full bend egg shaped meer.
