These are new things I'm trying. Everything is basically new to me with pipes....

C&D Oriental Silk in a billiard
I gotcha.
The only ones from that list I've had are Nightcap, which is in my top 3 English blends. Great stuff. However, try it as the last bowl of the day. Nightcap is heavy. Once you smoke it, you're done for the day. It is aptly named.
I've also had Billy Budd and it was so so. Not terrible by any means, but not great. It will come to you pretty dry but that's how it is supposed to be.
It's fun experimenting with new pipe tobaccos. Hell, as many of them as there are I don't reckon you'll ever really stop.
A few suggestions.
If you like the Elizabethan Mixture, which I'm nearly certain you will, try Escudo. It's the same type of mixture and is very good as well.
Also, try some Frog Morton Cellar if you get a chance. It's an English blend with a wooden cube from a whisky barrel in the tin. Gives a phenomenal flavor.
If your address was in your profile, you may even find some unexpected goodies showing up at your door out of the blue to try. Hint hint. :pipe:
Happy smoking.

I liked Maltin, read his book several times, but he was WRONG about Touch of Evil (and Blade Runner, etc.). :)
Partly social mores, Touch of Evil was so damned seedy that it was probably repulsive to people in 1958 (and later years) until the idea that a movie should be that way finally hit. Welles lighting made Touch of Evil into a nightmare and that was the intent. David Lynch, Eraserhead, borrowed liberally.
My reviews? Not worth publishing. The Maltin movie guide had capsule reviews so that's what I wrote but I lost them long ago.
Wrong side of the pond, but I'm here and don't want to waste the post

Seattle Pipe Club Pike Place in a mini briar. It's pretty good as far as I can tell, which isn't far as I'm just getting over a bad cold and still a bit congested, and therefore compromised in the olfactory department.
