Gonna shake it up with a bowl of ...hmmm...Erinmore Flake! Yeah, Nick, I think my mostly-Limey genes were activated when I lived in England.
HA! I had a jar that used to hold RY, but when I opened this can of Erinmore the other day, I stuck it in the empty jar without relabeling it. So, even though it's Erinmore Flake, I feel that, technically speaking, the RY Juggernaut serendipitously continues apace!

Working on a tin of Hal o' the Wynd.
Had a bowl of St James Flake in a cobbit shire and now Bob's Chocolate Flake in a full bent Digby. First bowls I've had in over a week...
D&R makes mostly dual-purpose tobaccos. Most have a cut and moisture level that they can be used in RYO cigarettes, but with a bit of added moisture can be good in a pipe, or can be used as blending tobaccos. Essentially, they are uncased, and have about the dryness and cut of Five Brothers.
I've only tried these two:
Picayune is an excellent alternative to Five Brothers, as it also has VA, oriental and perique. Reputedly one of the strongest pipe tobaccos, nicotine-wise. I have found it to be very strong, but the jury's out on whether it beats Brown Bogie.
Rimboche A.B. is one of their pipe-only tobaccos, and is a delicious and totally unique Latakia blend. Nothing else quite like it.
D&R tobaccos, being uncased, means that you get a lot more tobacco for your dollar, even given that they are already inexpensive. One can add some distilled water if necessary.

BTW, I'm not seeing the like/thanks option anymore. Was that removed or is it just some sort of glitch?

Had a great time at pipe club last night and much baccy was smoked. I got to try a bowl of Murray's Era Dunhill Standard Mixture from 2002 (excellent!) and also a blend that had Syrian Latakia (much different than the smoky Cyprian we mostly smoke now). It's amazing how fast three hours go by with great company and good baccy.
This morning I smoked Bald Headed Teacher in a Viking for the drive into work.
The last of this sample of Edgeworth Slices in an old medium bend grain etched Preben Holm Ben Wade Prominence B freehand. All great things must come to an end. :crushed::ghost::hororr:

Earlier was McClelland Organically Grown Flake in a Dr. Grabow Omega.
Now it's GLP Odyssey in a stubby billiard. This is an unfinished pipe bowl that I got on ebay and made a stem for, it's unmarked and ain't too pretty, but it's a huge bowl and I can smoke for a long time while doing yard work without worrying about my briar.
