Too jittery to smoke. Couldn't sleep last night and I'm more anxious now than I was two hours ago while waiting for the ultrasound technician to tell us that I'm going to be a daddy to a little girl!

David,
What's the story on the pipe, brand, shape, etc.?

2015 Brave New World in a 1960s Comoy Extraordinaire sandblast, Lovat, with sterling band (repaired shank).
It was in the bunch of pipes I sold recently. The metal shank inside was broken, so I kept it for myself. It has "Short Snorter" on one side, and "Imported Briar" on the other. It's 4" long.

Enjoying a bowl of Outdoor Incense that @NeverBend whipped up. I'm burning it in the Gator Poker. This tobacco is so friggin' amazing, hitting on all cylinders ROTT and even better a couple months later. I would like to buy a pound of this for further study.
Just finished smoking Standard Tobacco Company of Pennsylvania John Cotton’s Smyrna in a black pebble finish straight 2003 Cavicchi C. Fatto A Mano lovat.

Thank you, Bruce!
I'm taking the new Stanwell Hans Christian Anderson out for a test drive (using the short stem). It's treating this Newminster 400 beautifully, and the more I smoke this tobacco the more I wonder how it can be sold for under $3 an ounce when others are charging $6-10 an ounce. Incredible stuff.
HU JU 52 in a 1975 medium bend sandblasted looking, smooth on the sides yellow Pioneer meer.
A third of the way through this bowl of HU test blend #2 in a 2014 smooth medium bend Basil Meadows egg with an aluminum band and a "root beer swirl" acrylic stem. This will finish this test sample from HU.

Mixture No. 79. Plop that topping on a higher quality tobbacco and I'd be happy to put it in my daily rotation.
There. I said it. I find the topping delightful. "I like Mixture No. 79." That statement belongs to history now. Carve it on my headstone.
That said, I don't think I'll buy any more of this. It's a paradox but to me this and many other aromatic/mass-market blends are dominated by what I find to be a flavorless, dull, boring, and airy taste that I can only contribute to burley. Maybe it's just my body chemistry, but out of the ones I've tried Carter Hall has been the only OTC to be, for lack of a better word, substantial.
It's not all burley that does this to me, though. I like University Flake, Jackknife Plug, Orlik's DSK, any of the GH&Co's that use burley, Solani's ABF, Barbary Coast...
Half way through this bowl of Watch City Justice Mixture in a 2003 Ural full bend egg shaped Lattice meer. This finishes the sample.
Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem.
Had a fruitful meeting with two fine folks from Laudisi (Savinelli/Cornell & Diehl). Didn't smoke, but I'm saying this now: watch out for their new pipe tobacco line for BriarWorks, specifically Back Down South and Bacon Old Fashioned.
I'll also say this: Sav's new 311 KS is a pretty little pipe. They had one in the Spring finish and man-oh-man, I was dangerously close to taking it home with me.
Anyway, now that I'm back home & dinner is taken care of, and the weather is so decent all things considered, I'm headed outside with some Irish Flake in the Savinelli Author.
Jim's VaPer in my old reliable 1986 smooth Peterson Kildare 999 Rhodesian.

I had a couple of bowls of Norwegian Blend by Peter Stokkebye.
