Puffing Solani 656, ABF, in my Luciano Squat Bulldog.

Italian Estates Luciano Smooth Bulldog (289) (B) (2013) | Buy Italian Estates Tobacco Pipes at Smokingpipes

My Virginias weren’t going all that well today, so switched to Burley, which is going better. I generally prefer tapered bits on bulldogs, but the saddle bit looks just right on this one.

Lots of pipes this weekend. Too many blends to mention. All in cobs.
A weekend of armed smoking and coffee drinking purporting to be deer hunting.

    A Pipefull and my Brew

This evening I am enjoying a bowl of SG FVF in my Savinelli 606 ex while listening to "Cortege" by the "Modern Jazz Quartet". Earlier today I had a busy time with the family and am now relaxing. I noted that for last two weeks I have been smoking a lot of SG tobaccos and this evening's smoke is delicious. I am topping off this smoke with a mug of ice cold "Kirkland Craft Brewed Brown Ale" which is absolutely delicious. Costco's Ale is a seasonal
item and I was happy to pick up two cases. The next few days will be a busy time with Thanksgiving, but right now I am "kicked back" enjoying life.

I had a bowl of this a couple nights ago. Funny how you LOVE this blend while I do like it but am not too crazy about it. It's probably the DFK. I find I don't like burley - in any form - in my virginias. I wish I could talk you into picking up a tin of Samuel Gawith Navy Flake iin your next order, smoking a few bowls and posting your opinion. I think SGNF has got to be the most consistently tasty blend I've ever smoked. Other blends come and go and I enjoy those too but this is one I never tire of. I imagine your review would probably be something like: "well, it's okay... but I'm not too crazy about it"

    Hi guys!
    I've missed you!
Hot 6 months at my new job. It is a lot of work and keeps me from a lot of my previous online activities.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Puffing Gordon Pym in my dear old Kirsten. Wonderfully flavorful. The only English mixture that I’ve ever liked — a singular blend.

Made my special bacon, peanut butter, and Marmite sandwich for lunch today. On German-baked pumpernickel toast. So good!

What's in a name threw me off my game.......

This evening I had a bowl of SG Golden Glow in my extra large Sherlock Holmes # 2 pipe. I had jars and jars of SG Medium Virginia Flake dating back to the year 2000 but over the years my supply began to get low. I began my search about a year ago to re-supply my stash of this tobacco, but I could not find it; I believed that SG had scrapped this blend. Six months ago I finally had my last bowl of this tobacco. Last month I was scanning SG tobaccos on the Four Noggins site and saw Golden glow which I had not heard of and after some investigation I found out that this was my same Medium Virginia Flake under a new name. Fortunately I was able to snag three boxes of this tobacco. Dang-it! I really missed this blend. This evenings my smoke was delicious and I now know that everything is right in the world again. I topped off this smoke with a ice cold mug of "Kirkland's Craft Brewed India Pale Ale", and I am totally relaxed.

Rattled through my mason jars for the first time in months....the winter chill and holiday feels has me craving a proper pipe.

Devils Holiday in my Green Peterson should hit the spot.

Hope all the pipers here are well.
