Puffing Dunhill Navy Rolls mixed with 20% Solani ABF in my old Kirsten. Quite good!

And I just ordered some Wessex Classic Virginia from SmokingPipes. It’s been out of stock for months. The last two times it was in stock, orders were limited to two 50g tins per day, and it was out of stock again the next day. Same this time. But I also ordered five 100g tins of Solani 660, Silver Flake, to get free shipping.

Burned a small sample of G&H Brown Flake Vanilla in a Savinelli prince last night.
Nice size pipe for when you don't want to sit there very long.

Puffing Wessex Classic Virginia with a couple of years on it in my old Kirsten. This red Virginia VaPer is just excellent. Mostly rubbed out, with a few clumps. Hard to find in stock though.

Getting ready for Kaiserhof German restaurant. Hoping that stuffed peppers, a Saturday evening offering, will still be available. My waitress usually saves an order for me. Covered with melted cheese and drenched with delish sauce. Good!

How was it? I like it better without the cav plug in the center. That's like the toilet paper core, you toss that.

I really enjoyed the stuff rott but it seems to have sweetened/smoothed out some more with jar time. Just a week shy of 2 years in the jar. Just rubbed it out and stuffed it, thinking about trying to master fold and stuff with it to see what difference that will make

I always shuck the cav plug out of the center, then fold the disks in half, straighten the strands somewhat and slide them into a pipe. If it's a short pipe, like a prince, 2 coins will do it easily but I have to fold them in half twice.

I like Bullseye much better with a little age on it. Mine is around 5 yrs old. I have PS Navy flake of the same age. That's really nice with age on it too, and not very good fresh IMO. It's now starting to taste like candy.

I’m not an aro guy, but about a year ago I bought five Solani ready-rubbed aros to try:

    113 - Sweet Mystery
    127 - Green Label
    131 - Red Label
    333 - Festival
    369 - Blue Label

I tried them in numerical order. I didn’t like the first three, so was loathe to open the fourth, 333. But I finally did, and, by George, I liked it — the first aro that I’ve ever liked. Its “aro” component wasn’t too strong, and it had real tobacco flavor.

And yesterday, I opened the fifth, 369, and I like it too! SmokingPipes says of it:

“Solani Blue Label is a smooth, sweet, and natural blend with bright and red Virginias, burley, mellow black Cavendish, and Perique. Wild Cut.”

Smoking some now in my Tinsky billiard. It’s zippier than the 333. I’ll certainly be buying more, but haven’t yet decided if it’ll be 333 or 369. Or both.
    Cognition?
    On.

Smoking a bowl of over-dried Bulkseye flake mixed with an equal amount of Sam Gawith, Navy flake while it rains on the clothes I just hung out to dry. This mixture sucks and my clothes are getting soaked. The only thing good are these castelvetrano olives I'm eating.
