I just opened a 1 yo tin of Patriot Flake (Dan Tobacco, Germany). A blend of domestic and tropically grown Virginias that have been press fermented. No added flavoring, but LOTS of good tobacco flavor.
Like all Dan Tobacco flakes that I know of, there’s a single stack of somewhat irregular rectangular flakes that tend to be hard to separate — sometimes impossible. In the latter case, I just gouge a hunk out with my thumbnail and cut it up.

This has got to be one of the nicest blends I've ever smoked.

Peter Stokkebye, Navy Flake in a Barling Canadian.
This has got some age on it now and it's mellowing nicely. Starting to taste like candy :)
I find it a bit on the sharp side when fresh.

MOAR PS Navy Flake from 2013. This time in the Peterson spigot. Good stuff fo sho.
Thinking of a small pour of Sapphire gin to see if it pairs at all...

Puffing Dunhill Navy Rolls with some age on it in my Tinsky billiard. This is good tobacco.

I added a little bit of Solani 639, Tropical Mango Flake, to my fill of Dunhill Navy Rolls. TMF is too intensely aromatic for me to enjoy straight, but 20% in the DNR makes for a tasty smoke.
