PS Lux Twist Flake in a MM cob.
Don't like this as much as the bullseye. Too mild, mostly grassy / not fruity with some creamy, sweetish topping that I don't like. I didn't care for it fresh and a few years in a jar hasn't helped. I'll have to dry it more for the next bowl and see if that concentrates the flavor at all. If not, it's going down to age for a few more years.

I’m not an aro guy, but about a year ago I bought five Solani ready rubbed aros to try. I had previously tried three of them:
113, Sweet Mystery
127, Green Label
131, Red Label
I didn’t much like any of those. Today I opened the fourth: 333, Festival. SmokingPipes says of it:
“Virginias, black Cavendish, Burley and a touch of plum come together to form this delightful blend, Festival from Solani.”
Smoking a fill now, in my old Kirsten. And, by golly, I think I like it. Mild and tasty. One fill isn’t enough for a “buy more” decision, but it’s certainly better than the first three that I tried.

Black cavendish AND burley?? Can't say I'll be trying that one. Glad you found something you like tho. It's always nice to find something new you enjoy.
Smoked a bowl of PS, Bullseye flake last night with the cavendish bullseyes removed and discarded.
Spanish red wine and Castelvetrano olives too.

Puffing Solani 333, Festival, in my old Kirsten. After a dozen fills I’m still liking this tobacco — a lot! The first aro I’ve found that I like at all. Mild, but not too mild, with plenty of good tobacco flavor in addition to its plum flavoring. Such a welcome change-up from my usual Virginias.
Now I’m getting anxious to try Solani 369, the fifth of the five Solani ready-rubbed aros that I bought a year ago.

Burned a bowl of Hearth & Home, AJ's VaPer tonight in my Peterson Spigot.
Been a long time since I had this blend. Very enjoyable.
Sapphire gin and tonic kept in company.

Puffing Half and Half (Burley and Bright) from a pouch that’s been open for at least two years. Still pliable, thanks to the magic of ethylene glycol.
Kind of a nostalgia trip that takes me back to long ago college days when this and Middleton's Cherry Blend were my most frequently smoked pipe tobaccos. Both available at every drugstore, and inexpensive. Important for a college kid on a tight budget. And, by George, I’m enjoying it!

Puffing F&T Special Brown Flake from a 4 yo tin. The darker Virginia is good, and the lightly-applied rum flavoring is tasty. Like all F&T flakes, two neat side-by-side rectangular stacks. The most fragile flakes that I know of – easily rubbed out.
