Peter Stokkebye Optimum in the Dr Plumb
New for me, pretty fruity on the front end and vanilla on the back side. The taste is really good, just a bit to strong on the fruit side though, wish it was a bit more muted

Bowl of (I think) G&H Brown Flake Vanilla in a Barling Canadian.
First bowl in about a week.
Found a little jar I missed up a few years ago.
3/4 McClelland 5110 & 1/4 Latakia.
Tasty tasty.
Narrow Bridge in a Dr Grabow I like to say is in grabber blue colors.

Smoking pipes has Esoterica right now. It will be gone in minutes.
Puffing “The Mallard” (Dan Tobacco) in my Tinsky billiard. TM is a fine, fine Virginia — wish that I’d discovered it years ago.
Yesterday evening I burned a fine bowl of Sam Gawith Navy Flake rubbed out in a Frenadian (French made Canadian).
For the past three days I’ve been smoking “Gordon Pym” (Dan Tobacco), a new-to-me tobacco. From Tobacco Reviews:
“This blend contains golden Virginia, Maryland and a little dark fired Virginia that gives this blend a profound flavor. Precious Oriental tobacco gives a soft tangy flavor that is complimented by Syrian latakia. Broad-cut with a slow, even burn, especially in bigger bowls.” (I doubt the Syrian latakia though — don’t think Syrian is available nowadays.)
I’m generally not a big fan of English mixtures, but this stuff is flat out delicious! I just ordered two more tins. Right out of a newly opened tin it’s dry enough to burn easily. Wonderful tin note, and it’s pretty to boot, with colors ranging from bright tan through dark brown. Puffing it now in my old Kirsten.
This will be my last bowl for several days I think. Probably going to go with Bob's Chocolate Flake. Had a small bowl of that earlier this week too.
This tobacco has been aged for several years in a semi-sealed container to allow the rose scent to escape. It's downright delightful now. The flakes are all coated in fine, sparkly crystals :pipe:
