Smoked a bowl of D&R Rimboche AP this morning in a Dunhill Tanshell billiard. Bad sick today, spent all night with chills and fevers - going to the doctor today.

Hope that you’re better soon Tab.
Puffing F&T Special Brown Flake in my Kirsten. A dark Virginia with a rum topping. Very tasty!
Thanks Doug, Doctor said I have a sinus infection and put me on an antibiotic.
Just finished a bowl of Samuel Gawith 1792 Flake in a Ben Wade second.

And it’s going down wonderfully — this is a great pipe! I bought it from the American Estates section of SmokingPipes. It had been smoked, but not even a whole fill, I think — the lower part of its chamber wasn’t charred. It was a great bargain. See page 70 of the “what is your latest pipe purchase” thread for a more complete description of the Tinsky.
Pride of Loch Lammond in a cob with a pour of Blackback Rye
Puffing “The Mallard” (Dan Tobacco) in my old Kirsten. This unflavored straight Virginia is pretty darned good stuff.
Going to give this Esoterica Dorchester a try while breaking in one of the new cobbs.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...57b3b20b53.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4517993902.jpg

Well I went and done it. I cleaned out all the gunk I could reach by twisting the end of several pipe cleaners into J with a squashed loop at the business end and used Bacardi Black as a solvent. I poured rum into the gourd and scrubbed all around with one of the pipe cleaners, then dumped the filthy gunk out. They say you're supposed to keep the spirits off the cork gasket but that became impossible since chunks of gunk plugged the hole in the ferrule. I had to dump out the big end and just wipe the gasket clean with a dry rag right away. Went thru about 3 fingers of rum in the process. I also used a few gentle blasts of compressed air to blow out some of the junk I couldn't reach. It's drying now, hopefully none the worse for wear.
