How old is it?
I've got some with which I had the same experience. It has been aging in the cellar a couple years now.

I think 6 months or so. They were the flakes left over that I did not manage to fit into the jars when I bought it. I have some left of each of them that I have been working off of. So far I prefer LNF and LBF to the LTF. We will see what a year or more of age will do.

Just had a bowl of Milan King's Ransom, which is a mild English, quite nice. This must be a rare on as it has no review by

Got a cobload of SPC Mississippi River smoldering while out on the river today. Seemed appropriate.
Also have a backup cob loaded with G&H Louisiana Flake which I might get to later.

Some 5100 Red Cake. I did not like this much when I first tried it. Of course I like it now that its discontinued and mine is almost gone.

Some Carter Hall in my Dr. Grabow Lark. I have some Bob's Choclate flake drying for later.
Oh,
@AlanS
, I'm good on the Gurkhas. I hear Tony could use some, especially the nice 60+ rg ones.

Just finished off a couple cobfuls of Milan Chartwell - nice smooth flavor. Technically an English but the Latakia was subtle. No bite, no gurgle - good stuff

I opened a 4 yo tin of Dunhill Flake yesterday, puffing that now in my ancient Kirsten Mariner. Very fine tobacco, it is. No topping on this stuff.
