A tightly wadded musketball of Five Brothers in a rusticated Savinelli billard.
Very nutty, pretty woody, white peppery and a little cardboardy. Burns well.
My first two fills today seemed a bit harsh, so I reached for my jar of Solani 763, White and Black. 763 is my go-to mild tobacco. It proved to be a good choice — going down nicely in my Caminetto silver spigot pot.
Used a bowl of pipa vanilla in my freehand pickaxe to get me through the monday conference call.
Enjoying a relaxing bowl of SG Navy Flake along with a glass of chardonnay. Nice to be not working on anything for the evening, although I hear half a dozen projects calling my name... might need another fill of chardonnay to drown them out
I recently bought six Solani tobaccos that I hadn’t tried before — one tin of each. They’re all aromatics, and I’m not an aro guy, so that explains why I hadn’t tried them. I just opened the first of them, Solani 113, Sweet Mystery:
“A wonderful Virginia blend consisting of red sweet and broad bright Virginias, Virginia Flake, and sweet black Cavendish with a pinch of black currant treated with Bacardi and CocoCream. Mystic sweet taste with a fantastic room aroma--outstanding. Wild Cut/Cross Cut/Broken Flake.”
By golly, it’s pretty good — kind of like smoking a pińa colada. Certainly a good choice for social situations.

“Gold-plated accent band?” For that price it ought to be solid 18-caret gold.

Puffing Dunhill Navy Rolls in my somewhat less expensive Luciano stout bulldog.
Drying out a fill of 1792 flake for a trip thru my Savinelli sandblast
