Just finished my second meerful of Virginia Gold Black and Gold.
I haven't been piping much lately, been on more of a cigar bender. But we've been moving furniture around lately as we just had carpets installed, and that compelled moving the tobacco cabinet. As I transferred the hundred or so jars of pipe tobacco out of it, I thought, dang, I oughta smoke some of this stuff

I was smoking two vapers earlier today, Solani 633, and OGS. Both were tasting tart, so I switched to Hamborger Veermaster. That’s going down real nice. Good to have a broad arsenal!

G&H Brown Twist Sliced in the gourd tonight. First bowl since last Tuesday (I think). This weed took some getting used to but it's so nice to smoke it now. There must be some burley in there somewhere because I taste something woody... but not quite cardboardy. Sipped lightly in this pipe, it's got some kind of a semi-sweet chocolate thing going on with other baking spice type flavors faintly showing up in the background. Goes great with a milk stout.

I just opened a 3 yo tin of Dunhill Flake. It’s a fine, fine Virginia. But I’m torqued that STG is now putting all of the flake tobaccos in round Escudo-size tins instead of the compact-storing 50g rectangular tins.
DF was the first casualty that I know of. Then OGS, and now all of the Solani flakes.

I haven't been posting for a bit and for a simple reason.About a
month back someone was kind enough to Trim my cellar for me.They
were nice enough leave me the bulk "Bastard Blend" in a gallon
tub,although I think they didn't notice it.(Thankful for small
blessings)And they didn't find my two pipe pouches, those were
with me.And today I found that my tin of Hamborger Veermast was
hidden in a drawer in the front room. So,,,Today is a Victory Smoke
of HV in my Casillero.

My wife would have pulled something like that
I wish,,,I could at yell at my wife for doing that. No,this is a hazard of living in
the sticks. No close neighbors.A**Hole/s got all my cigars, most of my pipe tobacco,
and a carton of coffin nails.Along with a few household items that they could carry.
But at least they left me some of my bulk jars and most of my pipes. My good pipes
I had with in the pouches so they only took some estate pipes.
Just about done with some Carter Hall in a no-name billiard.

Having a cobful of John Bull which I believe I put in a jar a few years ago. I should write dates on my jars . It's a mellow, non-sweet cavendish/burley with a hint of latakia.
