Ruler Of The Galaxy
Smoking C&D Billy Budd in a cheap little Baraccini stack poker (they call it a poker anyway, looks like a cherrywood to me). This is not a blend I would normally smoke as I don't care for burley or cigar leaf but I was looking for a change of pace and this fit the bill nicely. The latakia is very nice; smoky of course but with a lot of subtle spice and even hints of rosemary/evergreen. There's a subtle sweetness that appears once in a while then disappears completely. It's rather creamy which I (perhaps incorrectly) attribute to the cigar leaf. It's also a bit peppery which must also be the work of the cigar leaf because according to TR, there's no perique in it. No cardboard burley flavor at all... in fact I don't notice any burley although TR says it's in there. I notice it scorches easier than most on relights so the flame has to be applied lightly.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

Earlier today I had a fill of Dunhill Navy Rolls, then a fill of Hamborger Veermaster. I usually find both of these to be excellent, but neither seemed quite right today. Now puffing Solani 763 (Black Cavendish, Syrian Latakia, Virginia), and that hit the spot. It's good to have a broad arsenal!

Yesterday, Dunhill Navy Rolls just wasn't going well for me. I'm happy to report that it's going great today. I smoked three fills this morning. Now puffing Wessex Classic Virginia, an excellent ready rubbed vaper.

Already got my self kicked to the porch,,,,Alexander Bridge in my Brigham Brandy pot.
Digging out my lat blends for some sunny days. Weatherman promised at least
