Puffing Solani 633, Virginia with Perique, with decent age on it. Another fine example of Herr Will's blending skill. This stuff is soooo tasty.

Last week,I was gifted a sample of 1970's Borkum Riff.
Well this is the first pipe I've loaded in just over a week,
so I thought I'ld give it a try.Not sure what blend it started
out as,whiskey, bourbon,or rum but the toppings seem to have
evaporated. It was a very dry, slightly peppery burly forward
taste. Couldn't pick out and citrusy or smoky virginias.Seems
to be it would make a nice filler for an overly sweet aromatic.
I used my Middletonian for this smoke and chased
it with coffee.

Puffing F&T Blackjack. This light red Virginia is sure purty in the jar. And in my pipe. It's one of those days when every tobacco I smoke is delicious. Compensation for those days when nothing tastes quite right.

I've had several days that nothing tasted right. That's when I take a break and kind of
let things reset.Unfortunately I've also been known to do that with food, really pisses
off the Mrs when all I want is buttered bread and milk for days at a time. But I always
make up for it,I can put away 5 pounds of meatloaf and a pint of ice cream as a
snack.
At present I'm smoking EGR in my Swiss BBK and still drinking coffee.

Had a real sweet tooth today for some reason so today is a bowl of C&D Dark chocolate. This is smoked in a MM Ozark Hardwood my wife bought me when I first started with the pipe.
It is super moist, to the point of staining my fingers when loading the pipe. Its either the topping / casing or straight pg. Either way it burns surprisingly well and leaves a nice, creamy chocolate taste. No bite either, even if I puff to the point it crackles like a camp fire.
I would not smoke this all the time but it certainly filled the role of something sweet today.

Smoking the crumbs and shake left in a tin of Orlik DSK.
Burning them up in a MM Pride with forever stem while loading up the woodshed for the coming winter.

Don't listen to this guy!
This morning was Motzek Strang Cut in a MM Cob and coffee with Whisper Creek Tennessee Sippin' Cream.
This evening is H&H Classic Burley Kake in a smooth bent Dr. G and pour of Defiant Whiskey.
Happy as if I had good sense.
