G&H Black Twist Sliced with a couple splinters of H&H Anniversary Flake sneaked right down the center of the bowl. Don't ask me how I did it, suffice it to say it wasn't easy. Black twist sounded good but I wanted to tone down the strength a bit as well as mitigate the oily flavor. Didn't really think it'd make much of a taste difference but the Anni Flake has given the bowl a nice sweetness and a faint, fruity flavor. It's pretty good. It's got pepper in spades too, but not as much as D&R Picayune; that stuff has pepper in spades, clubs, hearts and diamonds.
Oh, and this mix sure makes my coffee taste good :pipe:
Maybe I should have given the stuff more of a chance :p
Emperor, the first fill from my tin of Hamborger Veermaster had a weak, unpleasant flavor. For some weeks I couldn't bring myself to smoke it again. I seriously considered tossing the tin. But I knew that I ought to give it another chance -- and I found it to be excellent! I don't know if it improved in the interval, or if I was just having one of those days when I first tried it.
I've had a few bowls today.
