Puffing Solani ABF in my c. 1950 Kirsten Mariner with large bulldog bowl. I skipped this tobacco in the last trip through my rotation -- very glad to see it turn up again. I'm not a fan of burley in general, but ABF is wonderfully good.
Smoking a bowl of McClelland Stoved Virginia (#5105) in a 1930s Kaywoodie Drinkless.
It is a decent smoke all by itself. Looking forward to blending with it.
Small bowl of G&H sliced black twist in a Sav prince.
This is 'economy' tobacco IMO; it's so strong, flavorful and slow burning that a thimble full is equal to a full size bowl of a lesser tobacco. Tobacco concentrate is what it is.
An untopped day for me: Escudo, ABF, and Wessex Classic Virginia. Two VaPers and one burley, non of which have any topping -- just natural tobacco goodness. Tomorrow the Escudo will be gone, but I'll open a tin of DF, so the beat goes on...
So far today I've had a bowl of CB Royal in my DG Savoy and another in my Casillero.
Then a bowl of SPS Maple Street in my Ol-Vic and a mystery blend also in the Ol-Vic.
Think I'll move on to a bowl of Royal Yatch in my Dunhill canted dublin.
Smoked a bowl of McClelland 2010 Virginia Flake in a Dr Grabow Starfire billiard.
Nice now. Can't wait to see how it is in a few years.
And for the record, tonight's smoke is Sweet Vanilla Honeydew, part of my score from Tobias' bulk sell-off. Not bad for an aro.
