I like to stagger them.
I've been using a new method of packing a flake lately. I just take a sliver off the flake, fold it a few times and stuff it, then repeat (I demonstrate this in my latest YT video). With this one I just go red, black, red, black until it's nearly full, then rub out the last little bit to get it going.
I'm enjoying a bowl right now in my London made Ben Wade apple shape.
Well it's MMM (March Meer Madness) over on the pipe forum I am a member on, so those who participate smoke only their meerschaums during this month. I only have 1 meer an Emin Brothers Sitting Apple, and it's getting a LOT of attention ATM.
Tobacco wise, so far today it's been:
Old Dark Fired
Orlik Golden Sliced
Vintage Syrian
Just prepared some Anniv. Kake for my after dinner smoke and will be preparing some Triple Play after that.
Had some P&C MATCH Elizabethan on my lunch break.
Now I'm enjoying a bowl of McClelland Blackwoods Flake.
Now having a bowl of one of my all time favorites, SG St. James Flake in my pre-Republic Peterson Shamrock.
I don't know how long this stuff has sat in the tin but it has a lot of sugar crystals on the surface and tastes sublime.
G&H Brown Twist Sliced in a MM Pride
Now a bowl of G&H Black Twist Sliced in the same pipe
The black is definitely smoother than the brown but the flavor and ash are totally different; the black has an almost used-motor-oily taste to it. Probably would be an ideal smoke for working on an old beater car...
Been a while since I had a bowl. Between a pulled muscle and a seperated rib,
I haven't been quite up to snuff. So today I felt like something a bit different,
dug out a pouch of MM Great Dane and loaded my figural meer. While digging
around I came across a small pouch of Tamboluka, guess what's next,,,,,,,, :triumphant:
