I use EVOO to clean the outside of my briars. It dissolves skin oils. Then I wipe all off with tissue. As you note, it leaves a nice soft gloss.

Adding Latakia to a blend is like adding bacon to a meal :)

Had some McClelland 24 Virginia in my Ben Wade Freehand.

Then a bowl of McClelland Red and Black in a Savinelli Series III.
It was my first bowl of Red and Black (I tried a fellow BOTL's at the local shop) and it was absolutely amazing. I will be ordering some immediately.

Two questions - How do you like that Vermont Meat Candy? How does that pear wood pipe smoke?

Really enjoy the tobacco. The pipe is pretty decent. The pipe is a bit of a gurgler and fails the pipe cleaner test but has a good feel and smokes cool.
