I smoke that stuff too. Very similar to FVF.

My tin of Escudo had only a partial coin remaining, so I added enough Solani 656, Aged Burley Flake, for a complete fill. About a 50-50 blend, and very tasty, it was.

Just started up a bowl of 2011 Stonehaven from @Desertlifter in a Savinelli Silver straight billiard.
I do that too with leftovers. In fact, that's usually the deciding factor as to what to smoke next; whatever I think might go well with the partial bowl in hand.
No need for such antics this time around though. Puffing a full bowl of year old G&H Rum Flake in the new Canadian. The Rum Flake (stored in a mason jar with an upside down disk) has lost almost all of its flowery Lakeland stench and the new pipe has lost almost all of its awful chemical stench. Seems their loss is my gain because this is shaping up to be a nice, tasty smoke so far.
:pipe:
Just opened another tin of Solani 633, Virginia with Perique. Both components are superb. This tobacco isn't topped, but it generates delicious smoke with a prominent citrus flavor. Less Perique than Escudo, but more than Golden Sliced. 633 is my favorite VaPer.
Today is Captain Black original Day, So I've got my Doctor Grabows lined up and ready to fill.
Coffee, scotch, and rum are all in the rotation for getting me cooked !
Earlier a bowl of CAO Black in the cob, tonight Dunhill Flake in my new briar. A gift from a buddy at work who made a brief appearance here as Thehobbyist78.

A briar already? You're sliding downhill fast! :D :D I think I smoked cobs for 2 years before I got a briar, and that one was given to me by @NeverBend . (And still that Barling puts most other pipes I own to shame) I still refuse to consider a meer though...
what do you think of the Virginia flakes you've tried?
-edit-
Almost forgot: last night it was a partial, bottom-of-the-jar load of Sam Gawith, Chocolate Flake with a little MacBaren Vanilla Cream Flake to make up the difference. Amazingly enough my non-discerning palate could pick up elements of both blends. Pretty tasty.
Having a morning bowl of H&H Ambassador's Blend from my secret pipe Santa, @Tombstone . Smoking it in a LePeltier bent clay pipe from my 2014 secret pipe Santa, @Landon Colby.
