Love the winey tin note and astringent sweet flavor. Great after dinner pipe, super high quality tobacco, like spun golden fleece.

C&D Competition Blend #460 in a Dr. G. Grand Duke. Going thru the burleys that @Alligator Gar bombed me with :) Your basic burley with a slight floral note.
The Grand Duke - you'd think with such a majestic name it would be a big, manly pipe, but it's actually got a pretty small bowl.
Tnx. Yes, that flake was part of a collaborative effort with @Tobias Lutz who supplied some components and @Madbricky who concocted the vanilla/peach flavoring and supplied some components.

My taste buds have died down a bit. I'm about to light up a bowl of Orlik Golden Sliced.
I know I'm going from a really strong blend to a really mild one, but I haven't had any GS in a while and a tin came in today so I'm gonna light one up.

2014 (recreation) E&C The Stout in a 1960s Comoy Extraordinaire Sandblast lovat (w/banded repair).
This was pressed and then jarred on 8-25-14. Vastly improved but more like (E&C) Cromwell than The Stout, although not close enough but at least it's in the right direction.
Rained ~4" and has nearly drowned many of my plants. I need S.C.U.B.A. for them!

2014 Red Ronnett's Sonnett in a 1981 Mastro de Paja 1C (sandblast) lovat. Ice water. Gave my wife the tablet and speaker so I'm without music for the moment.
Light latakia ghost but this mixture continues to be consistent and intriguing. I keep thinking that I'll tweak it but there's no reason to mess with it.
My last, the E&C recreation that's more like Cromwell, finished really well. Again, I'm left with the question, 'do I tweak it or not?'. Being a little different isn't a bad thing if it performs well but it feels like I'm just to the left of the bulls-eye.
Still drying out here with another dash of rain forecast.
