GL Pease Quiet Nights in an Italian Olde Classic Bent.........
Not far from finishing this bowl of Dunhill 221B Baker Street in a 1982 black sandblasted medium bend W.O. Larsen freehand with a black vulcanite stem.
Savinelli 140˚ in an unbranded undated (1980s?) straight smooth flat bottom apple with a black vulcanite stem.
A couple minutes away from smoking Dunhill Elizabethan Match in an old favorite smooth 1977 Medley (GBD second) medium bend billiard with a flat underside with a black vulcanite stem.
1970s Edgeworth Aromatic (Red) in a light brown 1979 rusticated medium bend Italian Sir Jeffrey Dublin sitter with a flared top and yellow stem.
What did you think of it? I like PS 41 from time to time (never having been a big fan of burley) but I have to let it air a looong time or it smokes wet and bites. It doesn't seem like it but I think that blend is probably shipped very wet. Probably why it stays so nicely in cube form.
This was such a disappointment. I remember Sugar Barrel, which this is supposed to be a match for, as being a one dimensional but somewhat enjoyable change of pace occasional smoke, but this was easily the worst tobacco I've ever smoked. Just glad I didn't buy a whole tub.
I think it is a very enjoyable non-aromatic pipe tobacco. Needless to say, it has lots of true tobacco flavor and a moderate amount of nicotine. It reminds me of a blend from my early days of pipe-smoking, Edgeworth Ready-Rubbed. I really like the cube-cut format.
