Saturday mornings are truly wonderful. Do I dare to say delightful? ;)
Well lets see.
Old Joe Krantz in my new CAO Meer. Smoked a bit sour, needs more cleaning. But mechanically, very solid smoker!
Mississippi Mud in a 1940s Custombilt. Don't like this blend in this pipe. Smoked OK, should of smoked it in my 90's Roma Savi...speaking of which...
Abingdon in my 90's Roma Savi. Smoked excellent, awesome complex taste.
Kendal Cream Flake in a Savi Alligator 1/2 bend. Another great smoke.
St. James in my late 90's Pete Irish Whiskey. I love this FVF with perique thing it has going on :p
Grasmere Flake in the Lakeland Legend. Good solid Lakeland flake. I would say topping wise it is between a Kendal Flake and Ennerdale Flake.
(I think) Wessex Burley Slices in a 1930s Custombilt. Wasn't too thrilled on this one. It was ok. Pipe smoked well at least.
I think that was about all that I partook in. About a bowl an hour, all while watching basketball and enjoying with friends. Went through plenty of bowls together. Good time.
The Meer Porn I promised will be in the March Meer thread soon.
Oh how I wish I had some pipe smoking friends...I smoke a gauntlet here and there and it'd be sweet if I had a buddy to share the fun with... great work on the pipes today, man! Sorry some didn't sit right, but that's the game.
Smoking a bowl of St. James Flake in a cob with a 2 finger pour of some whiskey. I don't think I'll ever buy FVF again when I know I can have it with perique. Great smoke.
I wish that we did it more often. Life is hectic and we all work crazy jobs. This is the first time that we all had gotten together in probably 4 months to have some bowls and enjoy.
But when we are able to do it, we usually go all out and have a blast doing it!
My night isn't over. I think I will have a couple more before the night is done :pipe:
