Half way through this bowl of Jim’s New VaPerKy in a very early Ascorti straight New Dear KS billiard with a smooth shank.
I like that stuff. A little light on flavor but what flavor there is I like. Has sort of a nutmeg thing going on. It's better with a coin of SRT mixed in IMO.
FYI, P&C has a Newminster bulk sale going on - 20% off or something like that. Might have to get a bit more of their 400 flake to squirrel away. Methinks this stuff is good right now and will be even better after a few years.

Oh, forgot... a bowl of SG Firedance Flake, folded/stuffed in a little Savinelli. Not my favorite but burns well and lasts a long time. Like most aromatics, it starts out OK but the remains of the topping just seem to get in the way during the second half of the bowl.

Thanks for the heads-up Bill. My first smoke of the #403 was pretty good although it burns a bit hot. Has some of the cashew taste of the Gawith Hoggarth Curly Cut deLuxe Sliced. I may try the #403 with some Gawith Hoggarth Dark Sliced, thanks for the tip.

Just finished smoking a Test Blend in a 1975 medium bend sandblasted looking, smooth on the sides yellow Pioneer meer. Have enough for one more smoke.
McClelland Top Hat in a 1982 near full bend egg shaped Ascorti Business KS with a black ferrule and saddle stem. Have enough for less than a full bowl, unless I pick a smaller pipe.
