Indeed so Most indeededly
Took the dog for a walk with my MM Ozark and a bowl of MM Missouri Pride. learned not to bring the dog while smoking a pipe. He doesn't like to stop to tamp, lost half my bowl and almost dropped the pipe. Think it'll be just cigars with him for a while...

True Derelict
2014 Gawith Hoggarth Broken Scotch Cake in a 1950s Barling Ye Olde Wood #1372R smooth billiard.
This is a very elegant billiard, small (for me) gr. 2-3 size bowl with a very long hand made stem. I reacquired the pipe about 15 years after a buyer refused to pay for it (showed up at his door in the Midwest to get it back). The pipe went out pristine but came back a disaster with serious heat checks and the rim badly gouged and out of round. Heavily buffed too. Forgot I had it until tonight when I went looking to add a couple of lesser used pipes to my rotation. I'd cleaned it when I got it back but it's been well over 30 years since I smoked it and I have no memory of it's performance then.
The damage to the tobacco chamber is severs so using the broken flake should give an even pack and slow burn. Starting out a little sharp and there's some faint ghosting. I didn't wish to retort this pipe and risk worsening the bowl damage. Slow rebuilding of a dense cake is required,

Rather late getting online, so I guess I'll just report my last smoke of the day

Had a bowl of Paladin Black Cherry for our OTC review. I'll smoke a couple more bowls, maybe in a couple different pipes and then write a review. My initial opinion is that it's not bad at all. I want to try it in a few different sized bowls though. I've learned that can make a pretty big difference with some baccys.
Check out my Youtube channel, Razorback Piper Guy if you like that sort of thing.

Continuing my adventures with Mississippi Mud...went from not liking this blend at all to falling in love with it in a matter of 6ish bowls. Just goes to show you that you can't judge a blend by a single bowl!
