Prepping some Durbar for a smoke. Probably in a big ugly Custom-bilt.
Hi Brandon,
You're a young man, you can change your ways. Look at me, I sold a Sixten Ivarsson for $60 and I'm here to tell about it! (pipe didn't smoke, just pissed that I didn't know to hold onto it another 30 years when it would have had a couple more zeros on the price).
2015 Gawith Hoggarth Louisiana Flake in a 1964 Barling #3229, sandblast, saddle apple.
Take this little fella I'm smoking now. Bought it for a reasonable price (~$45). First few smokes were weak to mediocre but it's doing fine with this tobacco. The Lat mixtures I tried it with were a bad pairing. If he's going to smoke this way, I'll keep it, unless of course I need some cash to buy something else (grins).

1792 Flake, stuffed into the Imperial 2 point.
FWIW, I've never had a tobacco pair so well with coffee; hot, iced, sweetened, black or with cream, it doesn't seem to matter. It's just... good. Odd thing is, I don't like this blend rubbed out - I find it too peppery and harsh and hard to keep lit. That and it tends to break up into splinters.
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
