Got this herd of five pipes and the pipe rack for $25 on Ebay. Includes 2 Dr. Grabow Freehands, a MM Great Dane, a "Pipe Maker" Lovat, and a no-name. Also, not pictured are two packs of Dills pipecleaners, a pack of Savinelli balsa filters, and a little bag of rubber bit protectors.

Got this Danske Club billiard; it's a Stanwell. I really like the hexagonal shank and stem.

Paid too much for it, but I was buying the nostalgia, not the pipe. As a young man living in Maine, before LL Bean reinvented itself as a urban hipster's clothing boutique, I spent many hours browsing the high end fishing gear and drooling over the natural wood Old Town canoes that I would never be able to own. I remember the creaky wooden floors and the aroma of pipe smoke and the stories and advice the salesmen would offer as they puffed on something aromatic. I would dream of piloting one of those beautiful canoes around Moosehead Lake and catching trout with one of the hand made fly rods that were displayed there, before leaving with my purchase of Eagle Claw hooks and a bottle of mosquito repellent.
I used to have an L.L. Bean pipe. If I'm not mistaken, it is made like a Smokemaster pipe where you can use a pipe cleaner for a filter. Is yours like that? They still carried them in the early nineties, but they didn't put them in the catalogs. You had to call them and ask for the pipes.

My second forever stem, a straight 2" Phantom Grey Nose Warmer, arrived today. I love that these can be swapped out from one pipe to another, all I need now is a couple of bent stems of different lengths and I'm set.

I haven't received the pipe yet, but I'll let you know when I get it. I've heard of those that use the pipe cleaner and this could very well be one as the metal tube in the stem looks to be offset. But, never having seen one, that's just a guess.

    Ser Jacopo Renaissance #313

Very important pipe to me, Ser Jacopo Renaissance #313, 1985.
I created the Renaissance series in 1984 and only about 20 were ever made. This is my fourth and I hated this stem when it arrived but it looks fine (to me) now.

I love the shape, and the blast is just beautiful. The stem color, however, would not have been my first choice.

That bowl looks like a living, breathing thing. Just stunning waves and grain. Glad you got your Grail.

Had a few things drop today.

Reddit starter kit from a guy that decided pipes were a non-starter. $20 shipped.
    Burley Kake
    Luxury Bullseye Flake
    Mac Baren Scottish
    McClelland 5100 Red Cake
    Dunhill My Mixture
    Lane 1Q
    Maplewood MM Pipe
    Cleaners and Tool

I wanted to try that Red Cake so bad I cleaned and sanitized the pipe (virtually unused) and took a long lunch. Not proud of what I did. Exigent circumstances--was not disappointed.

Also received some GLP Jackknife Plug, C&D Star of the East and RO Fire Storm for trading.

I actually love the look of the white stems. I think they are classy. Excellent pipe Pete. Enjoy.
