If you get a minute, let us know what you think of the Pine Grove.
FYI, it's pretty good mixed with a few cubes of SG Black Cherry Twist
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

2 tins of Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky, ounce samples of Pine Grove and Louisiana Red, a bundle of Schizo cigars, and a single Villiger Bold cigar to sample. Kinda pissed that the Villiger came in really rough shape, I don't know if it can even be smoked.

Contact P&C about the beat up Villager. I'm sure they'll make it right.

Thanks for the heads up about the Dunhill tins on Smokingpipes.Com. At first I thought that the listed prices were already discounted and I wasn't impressed but they take off 25% in the cart and that impressed me enough so that I'm putting together a much needed order (yeah, needed like that hole in the head that I'm trying to find).

I smoked all of these tins back in the day except for the Navy Rolls that you and @JimInks speak so highly of, so I added a few of them too. I ordered 8oz bulk of #965 and Nightcap from Pipetobacco.Com (they're 25% off too). It'll be interesting to see how Durbar and Aperitif compare to what I remember of them.

Adding to that hole in the head I purchased a Barling

Bowl was made in pre-transition and probably the stem too (originally) but this bit may be a replacement. I'll try to post before-after pics when I get to it.

I already smoked it...or at least what I could. It was only a buck and I just wanted to try it to see if I'd want a bundle as a cheap stick. It was a pleasant smoke, but the construction issues put me off. The 20 Schizo's I got are flawless in construction and smoke pretty damn good for a dollar stick. Love em.

I loved the Pine Grove! It came really dry but damn was it a nice smoke. It was smoky, fragrant, and fairly sweet. Really enjoyed it. Too bad I don't have ANY twists in my stash at the moment, I can see how it would benefit from a "kick in the pants".

Just put in a tobacco order at 4noggins. Ordered some C&D Chenet's Cake, and in the description is something I've never seen before:

"Estimated peak: 10 to 15 years. But it's definitely smokeable now."

Warren, why not buy a nice Amarone and keep them together till you smoke them?

At my age, expecting to be around when it reaches it's peak in 15 years just isn't realistic. This one will be smoked before it's time.

Hope that you eat your words but I'm a ditto and I buy to smoke and hope I'm around to see it get old. If my wife hides my latest purchases then the young guys here on CB will will have to smoke it for me.
