Here's the Canadian. It is larger than I thought, but I am very happy with it. The only flaw at all is the stem needs a little polishing up. It barely has any rim darkening. It's an older pipe, but I'm thinking it wasn't smoked all that much.
I think it will be a good pipe for flakes, so I thought the first bowl would be this fine Virginia offering from McClelland.

So far (about 1/3 of the way through the 1st bowl) it is smoking very nicely and I absolutely love the look.
For what I paid (32.00 including shipping), I think I did pretty well.

It's a Savinelli Sherwood Rock Briar 804 shape.

Nice pipe. I have several Canadians, one of my favorite shapes. A couple are so long I have to keep churchwarden length pipe cleaners on hand for.

@Cool Breeze , my guess is that if a retailer stamped his name on the side of a pipe, it probably wasn't an expensive one to begin with. But if it smokes well, it's a good one.

Good choice @Cool Breeze . As you know, most Savinellis are great smokers. Thanks for telling us about Hal O' the Wynd in your YouTube video; that is some fine stuff!

I won this pipe in a raffle at the Columbus Pipe Show a few weekends ago. It's a handmade pipe made by Clark Layton (Sloth Pipes). He takes a lot of care with them, making sure that the airway is open and passes a pipe cleaner.

I wanted some things to stash away and try later. The Pipes and Cigars sale made it too good to pass up. This should keep me busy for a while once I start opening them.

Just got this group 4 Dunhill Tanshell 592 in the mail yesterday. The seller didn't know if it was a repair or not, so I got it at a great price.
