Got an email from smokingpipes.com announcing the arrival of a couple of Dunhill reissues, so like a cat responding to a can opener I ran to the site and ordered 2 tins each of 'Ye Olde Signe' and 'Dark Flake'. I'm a sucker for anything from Dunhill.

I'll pop a tin of each when they arrive and do my best to describe the experience, probably in the 'What did you smoke today' thread. After 45+ years of smoking, my taste buds don't pick up nuances the way they once did, but I can still appreciate a good Virginia and a Va/Per.

my most recent purchase was on a complete whim. i was eyeing up the drew estate tradesman pipe on cyber Monday at pipes and cigars since it is an exclusive to them. Didnt pull the trigger because i wanted my friend to pick a pipe out at cigars international that night for Christmas to get him into pipes. he picked one out that he loved but refused to let me buy it because of the price but he was eyeing up a second one that i am gonna get him without him knowing at a later time. while looking at the pipes i spotted the drew estate tradesman and it was down hill from there lol. i ended up buying it that night for myself as a early Christmas gift and i love that pipe. so far it smokes awesome i love the way it looks and love that it sits.

Moving up to a fancier cob and I figured the best way to break in a MM cob must be with MM tobacco so a pouch of MM Missouri Pride.

    Sent from here.
Uh, I'm just gonna go find a cash machine.

Very wise choice. The Missouri Meerschaum pipe tobaccos are all very good. My favorites are Country Gentleman and American Patriot, with Missouri Pride being honorable mention. Just wish they sold it in bulk.

Some Virginia for the cellar, few tins of ABF - dang you @Pipe Smoker - and Happy Crimmuz to me, a brand new pipe!

The pipe is just a Rossi. Drilling is off center but still comes in tangent to the bottom so I figure it will be ok. Functional, not fancy.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

Got this in the mail today from Ebay. It's a group 5 Dunhill 5102 estate pipe; can't decide if its a billiard or a brandy... What do you think? It needs some tender loving care. There is some damage to the rim; a little burned part that dips in just a tad.
